Dr. Kevin Vo, MD
Board certified, American Board of Family Medicine
Dr. Vo founded Athena Family Medicine in Rowlett in 2015 and serves as its medical director. He has practiced family medicine since 2012, caring for children age 5 and up, teens and adults, and he speaks both English and Vietnamese.
Before opening Athena, Dr. Vo practiced with Lake Pointe Medical Partners in Wylie, with staff privileges at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett. Earlier, he cared for patients at the Cherokee Nation health clinic in Vinita, Oklahoma.
Before medical school, he spent several years as a research assistant at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Dallas VA Medical Center, studying cholesterol, metabolic syndrome and the effects of statin medications. That background still shapes his focus on heart health, diabetes and weight management.
